Summary of Duties:

• Working closely with product teams to implement and drive adoption of Salesforce technologies, taking ownership of the entire stack of software development related to these efforts.
• Applying DevOps practices in delivering the new Field Service and Lightning Service Salesforce.
• Developing architectural designs to help ensure implementation of software developed meets CarMax quality.
• Responsible for overlooking the design and development of Case Management capabilities and the Sales Force capabilities.
• Assist with integrations as part of the Salesforce Ecosystem, and work on detecting, isolating, and triaging potential platform or application issues.
• Full stack application development, Salesforce custom application design, Apex language, DX, API, and Lightning.
• Work with fellow associates to understand the real-life challenges of customers and discover what they need to move seamlessly between the online and in-person shopping experiences.
• Collaborate with colleagues in product design, product management and systems architecture to develop experimental solutions and bring great ideas to life.
• Market your innovative ideas internally and evolve them according to feedback and critique within an agile environment.
• Stay on top of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve what we do and ensure our customer experience is the best it can be.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Decision Science, Engineering (any), Statistics, Management Information Systems, or related a field of study AND Six (6) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Decision Science, Engineering (any), Statistics, Management Information Systems, or a related field of study AND Six (6) years of experience, the employer will also accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Decision Science, Engineering (any), Statistics, Management Information Systems, or a related field of study AND Four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. Must also have demonstrated experience with the following: Full stack application development, Salesforce custom application design, Apex language, DX, API, and Visual force/Lightning; Understanding team software development concepts and techniques and having the ability to communicate those concepts to junior team members, including patterns in the areas of security, scalability, and usability; Creating and developing software and communicating the rationale behind the designs; Working effectively with multiple areas of the business community in order to gather requirements and translate those requirements into software designs; Being able to interact with and direct the tasks of outside consultants and helping them drive to successful project completion; and Working with coding languages (JavaScript, ExtJS, Apex, ABAP, C, C++, Perl, or MatLab).
