Collins Aerospace Digital Environment Evolution & Practice (DEEP) organization is seeking a Sr. Principal Software Engineer with a passion for problem solving and delivering solutions that provide compelling gains to the consistency, efficiency, and productivity of product development efforts across the enterprise. A candidate in this role will have experience working with a global team, have experience in Agile methodologies and drive to deliver on customer commitments.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience. In absence of a degree, 15 years of relevant experience is required
Software Development experience
Knowledge of programming and scripting languages (C, C++, PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.)
Effective communication and presentation skills in English (verbal and written).
The candidate must be a U.S Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
Direct experience with Agile methodologies
Experience using GitLab
Proven analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot tool and system operation performance issues
Experience with one or more of the following tools: Docker, Ansible GitLab, Kubernetes, Rancher, Prometheus, Terraform, Jenkins
Experience with Linux System Administration
General working knowledge of networks, storage, and virtualization
Experience leading projects and small teams.
Prior DevOps or SRE experience

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is $107,000.00 to $225,000.00; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
