Your role in helping us shape the future:
This position will lead the development and maintenance of long-term demand model, including bandwidth lease demand and managed services forecast. The successful candidate will also be working with team members to update asset investment plans to support demand growth. Given its strategic importance, this position enjoys high visibility within the organization.
You will perform major work streams of planning activities including the following: working with different business units and sales teams to understand market trend and develop long-term demand forecast, developing satellites investment and deployment scenarios to meet demand forecast, Additionally, you will originate and support additional cross-company initiatives meant to ensure company-wide strategic alignment. This individual will interact with business units' leaders across the company, working collaboratively, in order to lead the delivery of presentations to Senior Management, including the Management Committee.
Are you up to the challenge?

• Lead long-term demand forecast model development and scenario analysis supporting long-term satellite investment and deployment plan.
• Collaborate with business units and sales teams to forecast long-term capacity lease demand.
• Working with business units and Solutions teams to define managed product's service level and total throughput as well as network provisioning requirement.
• Refresh demand models on a regular basis.
• Support development of corporate long rang plan (LRP) and provide input to business cases for satellite investment programs.
• Support strategic analysis of the business in order to support the formulation and ongoing refreshment of a Corporate Strategy. Includes ongoing monitoring of opportunities and threats, analyzing value-increasing and defensive moves for the company and benchmarking against industry peer reviews.

You should definitely have:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Engineering (an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered)
• 10+ years' experience in corporate strategy and/or business analysis related activities
• Strong business and financial analysis and modelling skills, and relevant experiences
• Experience in formulating elements of a corporate strategy, including development of a strategic rationale and recommendation for strategic positioning, business fit analysis, partner selection, risk-return analysis
• A self-starter, able to work autonomously towards pre-defined objectives, and to adapt to changing requirements and ad-hoc requests.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are required, including strong communication skills to frequently interface with all management levels of the company. The person must be able to take complex situations and concepts and articulate a well-supported concise conclusion.
• English fluency in both verbal and written business communications including strong writing and oral presentation skills to executive level management.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• This role is subject to ITAR/EAR; candidates must be a US Person (this includes US Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Individual such as an asylee or refugee).

It would be nice if you had:

• Strong leadership and experiences in program managing cross-functional projects
• Intimate knowledge of the satellite industry and/or the wider telecom industry strongly preferred, understanding of Intelsat inner workings a plus
• Master's degree in business management, and/or engineering
• Experience in translating commercial requirements into technical requirements (satellite design or orbital spectrum related background) a plus.
