WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As a Senior Software Engineering Consultant (PRIVACY), you will:
●    Oversee the technical strategy and systems of the privacy engineering team.
●    Design and implement privacy-enhancing features and mechanisms for our software products, ensuring compliance with relevant privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.
●    Conduct privacy impact assessments and threat modeling exercises to identify privacy risks and vulnerabilities in our products.
●    Develop privacy policies, procedures, and guidelines for our products and internal processes.
●    Work with cross-functional teams to establish best practices for privacy engineering across the organization.
●    Collaborate with security teams to ensure that privacy and security are integrated throughout the product development lifecycle.
●    Develop tests and fix bugs to ensure well-tested, observable, documented, efficient, scalable, and resilient code.
●    Solve complex technical challenges and improve team rituals and processes.
●    Design for technical scale, write system design specs and implement the systems through code.
●    Lead other engineers through mentoring and code reviews, and ensure documentation exists for team systems.
●    Work on cross-team projects and with non-technical partners.
●    Stay up to date with latest privacy and security trends, technologies, and regulations.
●    Explain the options, trade-offs, and sound technical decisions related to schedule, features, and quality.

  • Your experience:
    • 5+ Years of Full-stack development experience with both backend and frontend technologies
    • 3+ years of experience with Golang
    • 5+ years of experience working in AWS environment
    • 5+ years of experience in security or privacy
    • Experience leading, shipping and operating team’s features and systems.
    • Experience implementing privacy-enhancing features and mechanisms, such as encryption, data anonymization, and access controls.
    • Can design and implement solutions for ambiguous and difficult problems involving multiple technologies and systems
    • Can find and address privacy and security risks and vulnerabilities.
    • Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence

    • Excellent communication & empathy: You try to understand the needs of the person across the table and can adapt your communication and approach to bridge any gaps.
    • Experience with privacy and security principles, regulations, and best practices, such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.
    • A professional security or privacy certification, such as CDPSE, CISSP, CIPP or other similar industry-recognized certifications

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Competitive salary with opportunities for additional incentives. Salary range for this role can range between $120,000-$170,000 per year, commensurate with experience. We review compensation annually to make sure what we offer is fair and in line with the market.
