Senior Procurement Analyst

Datadog is seeking a highly motivated Senior Procurement Analyst with strong contracts management experience to support and evolve our procure-to-pay (P2P) function.

This role sits at the intersection of procurement legal and finance combining analytical rigor contract expertise and stakeholder influence to drive measurable business impact. You will not only execute procurement activities but also shape strategies mitigate risk and optimize processes at scale in a fast-growing environment.

• Draft review and redline a wide range of agreements including NDAs MSAs SaaS agreements and vendor contracts
• Lead negotiations for new and renewal agreements assessing risk and business value
• Identify and mitigate contractual financial and operational risks escalating where appropriate
• Develop and maintain standardized contract templates playbooks and fallback positions
• Partner closely with Legal to ensure alignment on contract strategy and compliance

Stakeholder Partnership

• Act as a trusted advisor to Finance Legal and business stakeholders on contract structure and procure-to-pay operations
• Influence purchasing decisions by driving best practices and risk awareness
• Translate business requirements into commercially sound procurement and contracting solutions
• Build strong relationships across departments to enable efficient and scalable procurement operations
  

Procurement Lifecycle Ownership

• Own the end-to-end contract and procurement lifecycle
• Manage and optimize vendor relationships and performance across key spend categories
• Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies while maintaining speed and flexibility for the business
• Maintain accurate and organized contract records within procurement systems
  

Analytics & Process Improvement

• Leverage data to analyze vendor performance and procurement trends
• Identify cost-saving opportunities process inefficiencies and risk areas
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to scale procurement operations and enhance user experience
• Contribute to the development of procurement KPIs dashboards and reporting frameworks
• Explore and implement AI tools to drive advanced analytics process automation and continuous improvement within procurement operations 

Who You Are

• 3 - 6+ years of experience in procurement strategic sourcing contracts management or related field
• Proven experience drafting reviewing and negotiating vendor contracts
• Strong understanding of contract structures commercial terms and risk mitigation principles
• Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment
• Experience with procurement and CLM tools (e.g. Zip Ironclad Coupa Ariba) preferred
• High attention to detail with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced high-growth environment
