Sr. Sourcing Specialist

Are you seeking an exciting new opportunity within a high-growth technology company? In this role, you will provide vital support to the Financial Shared Services departments, encompassing Workplace, Real Estate, Shared Services, and Procurement functions.

As a tier 3 Sourcing Specialist, you will spearhead both strategic and operational aspects of Anaplan's procurement program. Your role will involve collaborating with both internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure operational excellence and facilitate initiatives driving the source-to-contract process. Working with suppliers across multiple categories, you will actively manage agreements throughout their lifecycle, ensuring the highest level of service delivery. Situated within our finance center of excellence organization, the role requires in-depth S2C industry knowledge and adherence to elevated procurement standards.

The position necessitates close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, IT, Security, and Privacy. Additionally, approximately 25% of the role will involve handling various Procurement transformation activities.

 

Key Responsibilities: Sourcing Specialist (75%):

- Support contract review, negotiations, monitoring, and evaluation, including analysis of justifications for new and amended contracts.

- Draft, modify, and terminate contracts; interpret contract provisions, remedies, penalties, and compliance terms for stakeholders and end users.

- Collaborate with key stakeholders to comprehend their requirements, compile specifications, facilitate vendor selection, and negotiate agreements.

- Facilitate divisions' understanding of procurement services, policies, and approval processes.

- Track and report agreement and supplier performance; develop and maintain metrics, analyze performance data, and conduct root cause analysis of deviations.

- Execute different competitive solicitation types (RFP, RFQ, RFI, NDA) and assist in evaluating bids and proposals.

- Collaborate with legal to advise stakeholders on contracted document terms and risks; review terms and conditions of new awards, modifications, and sub agreements; ensure proper legal requirements; and track coverage.

- Act as the primary coordinator for assisting end users, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring timely responses and notifications.


Transformation & Communications Program (25%):

- Coordinate or support digital transformation and change management initiatives as required.

- Assist in launching Procurement technology projects, including enhancements to Procure-to-Pay, Contract, and supplier management.

- Participate in defining continuous progress in Procurement Digitalization.

- Promote User Experience, E2E approaches driven by Speed and Simplicity.


Required Skills:

- Excellent communication, initiative, creativity, and flexibility.

- Proficiency in working independently and collaboratively.

- Strong organizational and writing skills.

- Global Source-to-Pay process experience.

- Preferred: Proven global procurement management experience, including strategic sourcing.

- Program/project management experience or certification preferred.

- Strong knowledge of procurement practices and techniques.

- Willingness to educate users in new processes, policies, and technologies.

- Ability to meet demanding deadlines and adapt to changing requirements.

- Availability to work in various time zones.

- Effective liaison with internal customers and suppliers.

- Capacity to work under strict time constraints and with competing priorities.

- Initiative and sound judgment in analyzing bids and specifications.

- Up-to-date awareness of new technology, trends, and techniques in purchasing and contracting.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.

- Minimum of 5 years' related experience in sourcing and negotiations.

- Willingness to accommodate flexible hours to engage with international teams.

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Experience in delivering training to diverse audiences.

- Ability to meet deadlines and set priorities, especially under time constraints.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and procurement tools.
