Job Description

Motorola Solutions is building talent pipelines to meet future hiring demands. This is a pipeline role, while there is not an immediate opening, we want to build relationships with prospective candidates like you. Responsibilities

  • Identifies, develops and leads the execution of sourcing strategies and improvement initiatives to reduce cost, improve quality and minimize risk.

  • Drive the transformation of category sourcing capabilities and value creation.

  • Attract, retain, develop, & lead a global high performing sourcing team.

  • Manage direct reports through leveraging team member skills, coaching, and identifying developmental activities to achieve department goals.

  • Lead enhanced stakeholder integration to move sourcing further up the new product pipeline.

  • Influences business leaders to enable the Procurement team to drive successful sourcing events, inclusive of combining multiple business needs into a single enterprise sourcing event to leverage the larger spend / opportunity and, where applicable, the ability to standardize across suppliers and services.

  • Build strategic relationships with business leaders and external suppliers to drive results and influence business decisions with a focus on becoming a ā€˜trusted advisor’.

  • Leverage supplier relationships and maximize value contributions through artful negotiations and identifying unforeseen opportunities.

  • Leads research, gathers market intelligence and performs benchmarking analysis to understand the supply market and cost trends and develop an annual savings target for assigned business groups and categories.

  • Liaises with the legal department for the negotiation of large agreements for favorable contractual terms and key business owners aligned to policies and control areas for risk mitigation.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, executive presence, interpersonal and presentation skills and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead a high performing team that partners with business owners to drive change and deliver significant value.

  • Track record of establishing relationships, influencing, and negotiating competing priorities among business partners.

  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategy, governance, and structure.

  • Understanding of business-oriented financial concepts, financial analysis, budget formulation, and business case development.

  • Superior knowledge in procurement strategies, processes, and best practices.

  • Extensive experience with contract development and supplier management.

  • Preferred certifications is a plus: Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) from the Institute of Supply Chain Management (ISM), Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.


Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following: Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or Engineering.

  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience.

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
