Senior Procurement Specialist

Job Description

As a Senior Procurement Specialist you will be a key driver behind building an elevated brand experience for Mixbook customers by procuring materials as we expand our packaging and gifting options! The right person will also have a potential opportunity to build out a team as the department continues to scale. 

Location
This is a US-based remote position with quarterly travel to the San Francisco Bay area. Although Mixbook is fully-remote, it is highly preferred that this person work in PST or MST.

What You’ll Do 

Direct Material procurement:  Packaging, paper, mailers, ribbon etc

• Sourcing: Supplier research, selection, contract negotiation (gone out to bid, and picked)
• Conduct price analysis evaluations to support sourcing purchase requirements 
• Support various procurement activities (RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs) 
• Negotiate with suppliers on pricing and contract terms to ensure value-added partnerships RFQs

New Vendor Management

• Build relationships with new vendors such that they become strategic partners
• Engage in process improvement activities with Suppliers to enhance the procurement process
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts to support our customer’s needs
• Produce and manage long-term strategic agreements within the supply chain

Transportation/Logistics

• Manage inbound and ideally, outbound

Strategy/Reporting

• Provided insightful and actionable guidance via senior management level reporting and analysis
• Analyzed vendor engagements and developed sourcing strategies to improve cost, quality, and service for the company.
• Develop and improve internal processes to drive strategy execution efficiency.
• Mixbook owned inventory management
• Manage timelines for projects 
• Work with the finance team to set up suppliers and monitor modifications.

What You’ll Need 

• 5+ years experience managing Procurement and inbound logistics
• Ability to work cross-functionally with experience managing internal stakeholders ( product, design etc.)
• Product launch experience, including selecting suppliers, obtaining quotes, onboarding new suppliers, etc. 
• Demonstrated results in driving costs down by negotiating discounts and delivery terms and issuing multiple RFQ's to different suppliers
