As a Senior Data Analyst, Product at Branch, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data related to products and services, as well as providing insights and recommendations to help drive product decisions. You will work with many different data sets to evaluate which leading metrics are correlated with long-term success measures like revenue and retention. Your analysis will inform stakeholder decisions across departments and influence product strategy.

As a Sr. Product Analyst, you’ll get to:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret product data to identify trends and insights that can be used to inform product strategy, design, and development.
  • Develop and maintain data models to help visualize and understand the product and user behavior.
  • Design and implement advanced machine learning models ensuring optimal performance and integration, enhancing our capabilities in handling large, complex datasets.
  • Operationalize models by developing and deploying scalable machine learning solutions.
  • Quarterly usage read out to Leadership including insights on customer segments and user adoption.
  • Be the trusted expert for all things product and user data.
  • Create dashboards and reports to track product metrics and performance.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to collect additional data required to answer important business questions.
  • Establish and maintain data standards and quality assurance practices to ensure accuracy and consistency across product data sets.
  • Monitor data for anomalies and errors, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Present insights and recommendations from your analysis to product leadership to influence product strategy.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in product data analysis.

You’ll be a good fit if you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field. Masters preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in product data analysis and data science.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Snowflake, Python, Looker, DBT, Airflow, and R as well as other data analysis tools.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (outputting visualizations from Python or R; building dashboards in Looker or Tableau).
  • Experience building data warehouse with multiple data layers, using DBT.
  • Experience applying behavioral analytics to user data.
  • Experience working in B2B fast paced environment, as part of in-house product organization.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Experience to do detailed and complex analysis that is then packaged and presented to non-technical audiences.
  • Insatiable curiosity and are enjoying digging for the next layer of insights, constantly asking “why”.
  • Desire to self start new projects and work across all functions from product to engineering to drive results.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This role will be based at our Palo Alto, CA office and is eligible to be fully in office, hybrid or fully remote in California. This role is not eligible for remote work in any other location.

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents a reasonable estimated compensation range for this role: the estimated pay range for this role, if based in Palo Alto, CA, is $125,000 - $159,000.

Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Palo Alto, CA only. Compensation for candidates outside of Palo Alto, CA will be based on the candidate’s specific work location. 

Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location and may be more or less than the amount shown above.
