JOB TITLE: Senior Product Consultant / Passport Consultant (PPC)
DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Product Consultant or 'PPC' in North America Asset Servicing ("AS") is required to act as lead for clients' full online and digital experience and sustain relationships with key AS clients by way of Northern Trust online product solutions and offerings. In this role, most interaction is with clients and partners from AS within North America but occasionally can be located in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and South America. Responsibilities include but are not limited to being the lead for all digital / online client experience criteria which include training and support of existing clients on online applications like Passport, Online Report Center, Global / Web Cash Movement, Trade Order Entry, Data Direct, Corporate Actions Delivery and Response, APIs, Data Direct and more. Further, creation and automation of custom reporting solutions is required by way of use and knowledge of the aforementioned tools. These same responsibilities apply to clients new to Northern Trust whereby you serve as a transition-only or in some cases, permanent relationship staff member.
MAJOR DUTIES:
  • Serve as point person for all aspects of a client online experience in order to deliver best solutions / provide highest efficiency in clients' ability to run their office.
  • Provide service and training to clients on online tools and applications; includes establishing customized access, views and settings as appropriate.
  • Create and deliver custom digital solutions as required.
  • Lead in onboarding new clients' online / digital experience to Northern Trust; this involves determination of any custom reporting requirements and liaising with clients / development teams to implement.
  • Expert in client meetings / presentations related to the use of Northern Trust's online tools.
  • Serve as client voice for Product groups across Northern Trust as they develop and enhance new and existing online capabilities.
  • Support clients when enhancements or new products made available to ensure smooth transition.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience servicing AS clients and / or their advisors preferable
  • Alternately, a minimum of 8 years in asset servicing, product management or other experience related to understanding the unique needs of servicing assets under custody and its related online / digital capabilities
  • Working knowledge of Institutional Investor Passport (IIP) and additional online applications available to clients (particularly Web / Global Cash Movement, Trade Order Entry and Online Report Center)
  • Strong verbal / written communication skills required as candidate must be able to present to clients and partners in both small / large settings related to sales, training and other presentation environments
  • Strong time / project management skills
  • Microsoft Excel & Power BI experience / skills preferred
  • Willingness to work and collaborate in team environments and with peers across Technology, Product and Client Service and Change Management groups
  • When applicable: travel will be required for this position when visiting assigned and new clients
