Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Product Engineering Teams optimize existing products from information or input provided by marketing, customers, Operation Teams, Development Engineers or other employees. They maintain existing products, processes, and specifications including modifications for new applications consistent with manufacturing techniques and economies. They also initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, and cost, while meeting customer requirements and may support and implement product extensions to existing platform products to meet specific customer requirements. They are the key experts in the products they are responsible for at TE.

Position Overview:

The Energy business unit in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina is seeking a Product Engineer to support both existing and new product development/improvement activities. The primary focus will be on the improvement and maintenance of existing system data necessary to the flawless operation of today's ERP and PLM systems. However, this position interacts with every function within the company. Business acumen is fundamental.

Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to:

- Champion process and procedure changes through Lean activities to effect improvements in Data Integrity, Business Process throughput and error proofing.

- Work closely with the Product Management, R&D and Manufacturing Engineering to help facilitate the smooth transition of new processes/products/machinery into the production factory.

- Maintain system data as it pertains to the total Product Lifecycle

- Work with other disciplines within the plant to develop accurate specifications and documentation to support new product introduction with focus toward internal/external customer satisfaction.

- Maintain ERP system data accuracy including but not limited to: Planning Data, Bills of material, Item master data, to enable flawless execution of production.

What your background should look like:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology - Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering preferred

- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment supporting ERP systems, new product introductions (NPI), and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

- Individual should be a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast change, high paced environment

- Must have experience with ERP system set up and use

- Experience with SAP, MFG Pro is a plus

- Experience with PTC Windchill is a plus

- Experience with Energy Products is a plus

COMPENSATION• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $88,400 - $132,600 (subject to change dependent on physical location)• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
