The Senior Product Design Engineer will take ownership of the end-to-end design process for gas and electric cooking products, leading a team to create cutting-edge solutions that enhance features, reduce costs, elevate quality, and optimize performance. How You'll Create Possibilities

• Work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment to identify, develop, and launch design improvements. Collaborate with professionals from diverse backgrounds to enhance cost efficiency, product quality, performance, and features.
• Take ownership of the end-to-end design process for gas and electric cooking products, leading a team to create cutting-edge solutions that enhance features, reduce costs, elevate quality, and optimize performance.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance existing products and processes for improved efficiency, user experience, and overall customer satisfaction.
• Create detailed prototypes to showcase design improvements and demonstrate feasibility, actively engaging in hands-on prototyping activities.
• Develop and execute comprehensive evaluation plans to demonstrate the performance of design improvements, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Apply Six Sigma tools and Lean manufacturing principles to drive efficiency and eliminate waste in the development of new designs.
• Oversee reliability and performance testing, adhering to agency standards (UL/CSA/ANSI) and internal GEA requirements, to guarantee safety, quality, and reliability.
• Provide timely engineering solutions to challenges during the development process, proactively addressing issues and ensuring seamless progression.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3 years of design experience in consumer products or a comparable industry.
• Experience in the appliance industry.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and Design for Manufacturing principles.
