Senior Product Designer

Act-On is a leading marketing automation company servicing thousands of customers worldwide. We are looking for a Sr. Product Designer. The ideal candidate has 5+ years experience designing for web applications. This role offers the opportunity to define and create new UI and UX patterns in our product to deliver real day-to-day value to our customers.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Communicating regularly and effectively in both written and verbal form as part of the product development process
• Researching and understanding problems well enough to suggest and iterate on viable design solutions that are backed by data, analysis, and well understood UI/X patterns
• Working closely with Product Managers to regularly iterate on UI and UX design solutions
• Establishing a point of view in your work and being prepared to defend your decisions but willing to defer when another approach makes more sense
• Anticipating and addressing various UI states required for a given page or workflow
• Owning large feature projects from start to finish
• Working across multiple projects
• Mentoring and knowledge sharing with teammates
• Being an active voice and presence within the team but also outwardly to other teams
• Defining and contributing to our design system and other team initiatives that improve quality or processes
• Collaborating with engineering teams to get your designs implemented into the product as intended

Who You Are:

• Someone who wants to win as a team possessing 5+ years of experience designing web applications
• Self-directed but proactively seeks clarification from stakeholders when needed
• A dependable team member that can accept and offer design feedback
• Knowledgeable of the capabilities of web browsers and web applications in general with a good understanding of technical feasibility and how that impacts design proposals
• You're fanatical about the elegance of simplicity and you sweat the details
• A creative type with an online portfolio that demonstrates:
• How you approach design challenges by describing your design process
• Detailed mockups of past design solutions with sound fundamental UI skills and it shows in your decisions about layout, color, iconography, and typography
• Creating clear visual hierarchies
• Designing digital experiences and workflows in B2B products with an emphasis for the web
