Your purpose: 

In this role you will create end-to-end experiences that turn complex problems and workflows into intuitive and elegant interfaces. Working on our B2B SaaS platform, your goal will be to understand our users and design great user experiences using well crafted interfaces as a tool. Ultimately, you will make our product more user-friendly and intuitive for our users.

This role will report to our Director of Design and is located in our Boston, MA office on a hybrid work schedule.

You’re a creative and detail oriented designer with a strong understanding of the product's user experience. You care about the product's impact on their relationship with use and their own business. You can build toward achieving that vision by using data and interviewing users to inform your work and decisions; collaborating with team members to provide the best user experience fuels you to get to our professional and team goals. You enjoy a fast paced and team environment where you can solve a wide variety of design challenges. 

This position requires activities that are subject to US Export Control Laws and require US Citizenship or Green Card Holder.

Responsibilities

  • Build end to end user experiences. Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces around customer needs
  • Collaborate with our team of designers, engineers, and product managers to ensure we’re solving problems for our users the right way
  • Use your deep knowledge of user experience design to develop products that deliver compelling value for the customer and the business 
  • Utilize and contribute to our design system and component library
  • Use research and data to inform design decisions
  • Partner with Engineering to ensure that our implementation and user experience are high-quality
  • As part of the Paperless Parts team, further, the company-wide DEI & social impact initiatives

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities

  • 4+ years of experience in a design role for a digital product or application
  • Solid understanding of how to build intuitive, user-first designs
  • Experience working with and building on a design/component library
  • Experience leading or mentoring other designers
  • A track record of designing high-quality SaaS or digital products that delivered results and demonstrate the depth of your design leadership skills; illustrated in a portfolio or case studies (portfolio required)
  • Travel to customers as needed; vaccination and booster required

Encinitas Office: Our California office is our newest office which seats about 15 hardworking BDRs and Account Executives individuals. The office has an open floor plan with several conference rooms to encourage collaboration with your colleagues in California and TV's to connect with those sitting in Boston or remotely. The office comes stocked with snacks, coffee and regularly catered meals. The office is walking distance from Downtown Encinitas, the Coaster train stop, and tons of restaurants, bars, and activities on the 101.
