Senior Product Designer

Senior Product Designers on the craft track are tasked with being experts and design leaders for our
product. They will help build and develop design talent through mentorship, and design delightful
experiences – in collaboration with their teams – for the customers that we serve. You will be
responsible for the design and accountable for discovery work within that area. Most of your time is
spent with existing systems and processes but you aren’t afraid to suggest new ways of doing
things.

REPORTS TO: VP, Product Design
PAY CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time, Exempt

• Design exceptional products from start to finish
• Participate in all phases of design, from definition to development and optimization, to help
  identify and clearly articulate user problems, brainstorm solutions, and take a user-first
  approach to design
• Assist in the planning and scoping of design efforts
• Iterate with rapid prototyping and usability tests
• Recommend product improvements and pitch new product opportunities based on your
  observations and data measurements
• Participate throughout discovery to delivery
• Give and receive feedback and critique
• Work with other designers to own problems and solutions together
• Work with stakeholders and others in multidisciplinary teams to outline requirements and
  develop solutions
• Help us mold our culture into one that focuses on the user and encourages product thinking
  across the company

Desirable but not required: degree or certification in HCI, design, or other relevant discipline

4+ years of technical experience as a product designer or similar role

• Experience shipping creative, human-centered products shown through a portfolio that
  demonstrates an iterative design process, sophisticated problem solving, and successful
  outcomes
• Experience in a product design setting and
• Works well with Designers, Engineers, and Product Managers
• Participate throughout discovery to delivery to help identify and clearly articulate user
  problems, brainstorm solutions, and take a customer-first approach to design
• Basic to intermediate user research skills such as interviews, jobs to be done, and usability
  testing
• Comfort using the Build Measure Learn approach to making products that customers love
• Familiarity with Figma to sketch, prototype, and iterate with different versions of solutions to
  find what works
• Adhere to design system guidelines to maintain consistency across the product and other
  customer touchpoints
• Give and receive feedback and critique
• Work with other designers to own problems and solutions together
• Work with stakeholders and others in multidisciplinary teams to outline requirements and
  develop solutions
• Understanding of the technical, business and design constraints that factor into every choice
• Understanding of product thinking best practices and process
