About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to contribute interaction design & visual design to the continuing evolution of the Planful platform. Focussed on our users, the role will drive forward our product goals with expertise, empathy and flair, constantly reducing friction and making Planful a delight to use.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Product Design the Senior Product Designer will solve complex interaction & design challenges by using deep empathy for & understanding of the user’s problems, industry best-practice patterns, off the shelf components and the Material Design System.

Position Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with Product, brainstorm solutions that are well researched and supported by evidence that reference competing products, consumer software conventions, UX research and other sources
• Referring to the Planful Design System, and collaborating with the Content Team, develop wireframes that demonstrate an end-to-end solution to problem statements
• Design mockups & prototypes that adhere to Planful’s brand guidelines and socialize them with internal and external stakeholders and iterate based on feedback
• Work closely with Engineering during development to navigate constraints and ensure the best achievable UX & design outcomes
• Actively contribute to the Planful pattern library, and help to continuously improve the standard of the team overall
• Embody Planful’s values and contribute to a culture of having fun together & taking pride in building wonderful products

Required Skills & Experience:

• A strong portfolio of interaction design and visual design for enterprise SaaS products
• Multiple examples of working collaboratively with product managers and engineers
• Strong experience in executing a design process from brainstorming through to delivery & iteration
• Strong communication & presentation skills
• Ideally, prior financial domain experience, or at least some finance domain knowledge
