Reporting to: Manager, Product Design

Censys knows the internet and cloud better than anyone else. Attack Surface Management provides customers with an attacker-centric view of all externally facing internet and cloud to extend visibility, prioritize, and remediate the most critical risk exposures that will actually lead to a breach. Our daily IPv4 scans and the world’s largest SSL/TLS Certificate database enables customers with the most accurate and continuously updated attack surfaces. Enterprise security teams leverage Censys to keep pace with the speed of the business and gain an advantage on the rapidly evolving cyber-attack threats.

We’re looking to add a Senior Product Designer to join our Product Team. You will help build a SaaS product that enables security practitioners and analysts to explore and draw security insights from the most trusted and credible internet data (ours)! Censys processes terabytes of network data every day - it’s your job to help us leverage that data to provide valuable insights for our customers by building an easy-to-use, intuitive product.

Role Summary:

We are looking for a Product/Experience Designer with strong information architecture and data visualization skills who cares deeply about our customers and distilling complex technical problems into thoughtful, beautiful, holistic experiences. We’re looking for those who naturally do their best work when collaborating with Engineering and Product. You are always looking for ways to craft simple solutions out of complex problems with an awareness of the market need, an obsession for detail, and an eye for sharp visual design.

In this role, you will create, advocate for, and deliver solutions to communicate actionable security insights. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to develop workflows and interactive visualizations that make data meaningful and actionable. 

Role Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Data Science partners to design simple, intuitive solutions around helping users gather meaningful insights from complex data.
• Create designs and prototype workflows for the Censys SaaS and Search applications, focusing on simplifying the process of investigation and exploring our world-class data set.
• Align stakeholders to the product strategy through the creation of Task Flows, Journey Maps, Information Hierarchy, and Wireframes.
• Participate in and facilitate product research with customers and share learnings across the organization.
• Translate user feedback into thoughtful solutions designed to delight our customers.
• Partner closely with Product and Engineering to create flows, prototypes, and visuals for new or proposed features and hold a high bar of quality around the execution of work.
• Lead design sprints and work to ensure alignment and stakeholder buy-in across Engineering and Product teams.

Required Qualifications: 

• At least 5 years of SaaS Product Design experience, with experience leading full lifecycle design processes for data-heavy products.
• A unique combination of technical knowledge and visual design skills that allows you to design beautiful and impactful data visualizations.
• Experience facilitating user research and translating feedback into thoughtful solutions.
• Experience with Figma.
• Strong ability to influence and manage stakeholders across the business.
• Ability to adapt to business directive reprioritization, and team structure changes.
• Experience working in a cross-functional Product Design team partnering with Engineering and Product Management.

Our target salary range for this role is between $100,000 USD and $150,000 USD + bonus eligibility and equity.
