Senior Product Designer

Job description
At Dubsado, our mission is to empower small businesses. We're a self-funded company building an automation-focused CRM that does the busywork for our business owners, so they can spend time doing what matters most.
The design team at Dubsado is small but mighty. Our centralized design team enables group critiques, collaboration, and support, but each designer works within a cross-functional product development team that is dedicated to a specific product area. As a Sr. Product Designer, you will contribute to a cross-functional team while also supporting other designers as a leader in the centralized design team.
Our ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about mentoring other designers and interested in a future transition to a Group Design Manager role. You'll have the opportunity to expand your impact as a mentor and leader over time while continuing to work as an independent contributor. We are committed to working with you to strike the right balance between design and management responsibilities as you grow in the role.
Each designer at Dubsado has a direct impact on the growth and direction of the product. You'll be helping thousands of small business owners around the world save time and get more done.
This position will start off in office and will eventually move to hybrid in Burbank, CA.
Responsibilities
In your cross-functional team...
• Understand user needs and own each design from wireframes to high-fidelity mockups in Figma.
• Design a clean, consistent, and intuitive visual experience for Dubsado users.
• Create designs for both responsive web and mobile, as well as native app.
• Utilize and build upon Dubsado's ever-evolving design system. Work with other designers and developers to design and document UI components.
• Prepare and organize designs in Figma for handoff to developers.
• Communicate with developers often and answer any questions they have about the designs.
• Participate in our product development cycle where you will collaborate with your team to understand a feature and its design needs, present design iterations, and represent our business owners every step of the way.
• Work closely with other designers. Consistently provide constructive feedback and be a supportive, respectful teammate.
• Give and receive feedback well. Enjoy collaborating with others early and often.In the centralized design team...
• Approach design at Dubsado at a higher level. Establish and reinforce design processes that contribute to success on cross-functional teams.
• Work with the team to define design standards that will ensure the bar is kept high across all avenues of work. Envision the ideal Dubsado user experience and drive alignment across the design team.
• Moderate weekly critiques to encourage awareness of what other designers are working on and maintain a healthy feedback culture.
• Be a helpful and inspiring mentor for other designers. Ensure they are well-supported, feel like they belong, have purpose, and feel challenged and motivated in their work.

• Qualifications
• Proven experience as a product designer in SaaS or similar industry (we're looking for 3-4+ years but can be flexible based on applicant's background).
• Strong portfolio showcasing your visual skills alongside a solid foundational knowledge of the entire product design process.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Nice-to-have: experience managing a design system.
