About the RoleWe’re hiring a Senior Product Designer to join our Audit product team. You’ll own complex ambiguous problem spaces end-to-end partner closely with Product and Engineering and help shape the design direction of a core Fieldguide product.
We move incredibly fast at Fieldguide and we’re looking for designers who can operate at that cadence. This team ships frequently iterates in tight loops and makes progress amid ambiguity. You should be comfortable balancing speed with craft incorporating AI into your daily design practice and designing AI-assisted workflows directly into the product. You should also be excited to create clarity in undefined spaces move proactively without heavy direction and know when to move quickly versus when to go deep. This is a high-impact role for someone excited to tackle unclear problems drive momentum and modernize audit workflows that customers depend on every day. We’re looking for someone scrappy highly autonomous and deeply user-oriented — a designer with strong product instincts who can quickly turn ambiguity into momentum.
About the TeamYou’ll join a growing highly collaborative product design team embedded within Fieldguide’s Audit product group. Designers at Fieldguide operate as strong product partners—working closely with Product Management and Engineering to define problems and deliver high-quality solutions.
The Audit team focuses on the core workflows that auditors and assurance professionals use every day including planning execution review and collaboration across engagements. The problems are complex data-rich and high-impact.
What You’ll DoLead end-to-end design for complex ambiguous audit workflows from problem definition through shipped solutions
Partner closely with Product and Engineering to shape strategy influence roadmaps and deliver high-quality scalable implementations bringing strong product judgment to tradeoffs across user needs business goals and technical constraints
Drive design execution with minimal direction operating effectively in a fast-paced ambiguous environment
Translate customer needs research insights and business goals into clear user journeys interaction models and polished UI
Balance speed and iteration with usability consistency and long-term product quality
Advocate for users while accounting for technical regulatory and business constraints
Own a significant product area or customer journey anticipating downstream impacts across workflows and personas
Set a high bar for craft and influence by contributing to the design system mentoring peers and serving as a trusted design voice with strong conviction and low ego
You thrive in fast-moving environments and can operate effectively at high velocity without sacrificing judgment or craft
You’re comfortable owning complex ambiguous problem spaces end-to-end with minimal direction
You think in systems and anticipate downstream impacts across workflows personas and adjacent product areas
Experience working alongside or designing AI-assisted workflows (e.g. review summarization guidance)
You incorporate AI into your daily design practice — from research and synthesis to prototyping and iteration - using it as a force multiplier while still applying strong judgment
You’re excited to design AI-assisted workflows that meaningfully support auditors in their work
You set a high bar for usability polish and consistency in shipped work
You’re a trusted design voice who elevates the team through mentorship feedback and thoughtful critique
Experience designing for audit accounting compliance or other regulated domains
Background in workflow-heavy document-centric or B2B SaaS products
Experience designing for role-based permissions reviews and multi-stakeholder collaboration
Experience partnering on zero-to-one or major product re-architecture efforts
Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
