Senior Product Designer

As a Senior Product Designer at LevelTen you will collaborate across functions to drive design and user experience in a space that is ripe for innovation. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio of digital product design, with a focus on SaaS product user-centered design, and a passion for sustainability. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to create compelling digital experiences that drive our business objectives forward. The scope includes UX, visual, and interaction design for marketplace products and features on the LevelTen Platform.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Design, Product, and both internal and external stakeholders     to identify requirements, scope deliverables, manage dependencies, and deliver solutions
• Distill complex problems into approachable steps through researching, sketching, and sharing ideas with your cross-functional team
• Partner with product managers and engineering leaders to work through technical tradeoffs that affect product roadmaps
• Partner with other designers to collaborate on shared patterns, product vision, and design goals
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to define, ideate, and develop new digital products and features
• Conduct user research and analysis to inform design decisions and validate assumptions
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that meet user needs and business objectives
• Conduct user testing to gather feedback and iterate on design solutions
• Develop and maintain design systems that ensure consistency and efficiency across products
• Stay up-to-date with design trends and emerging technologies, and apply them to design solutions
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and on time
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet project timelines

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in digital product design
• Expert knowledge of design tools such as Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience designing B2B SaaS fintech products (fintech experience is a nice to have)
• Passion for sustainability and renewable energy
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in design-related field or equivalent work experience
• Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in user-centered design and product strategy
• Experience in creating design systems and component libraries
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and front-end development
• Customer-obsessed with a passion for solving customer needs
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to translate complex problems into simple, elegant design solutions
• Ability to receive and give constructive feedback and iterate designs accordingly
• Experience with user research and testing methodologies
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong visual design skills
• Experience in the renewable energy industry a plus
• Experience with motion graphics a plus

• This role will be based in the Seattle area. Candidate must be able to work out of LevelTen Energy’s Fremont office at least 3 days/week. Salary and incentives commensurate with experience. 

• The estimated compensation for this position is $130,000-155,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus and an equity grant.
