Job Description
- Create detailed design flows, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate your design concepts to a broad range of colleagues, customers, and operators.
- Contribute to a platform-wide holistic design system.
- Design production-ready assets and components.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other designers.
- Conduct user research.
- Drive design decisions and articulate the trade-offs between varying opinions.
- Proactively identify usability concerns within the product.
- Creatively apply the best practices of user interface design to business applications.
- 5+ years experience in the field of product design, shipping products and digital deliverables.
- A bachelor's degree in design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial, human-computer interaction, etc.) or equivalent practical experience.
- A passion for UX knowledge and process.
- The ability to distill complex problems into simple and elegant experiences for operators across mobile and web platforms.
- Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative user research including ethnography, contextual interviews, usability studies, and heuristic reviews.
- Experience collaborating with product management and engineering teams.
- An understanding of web technologies, not coding, but the ability to work with design technologists and engineers to implement designs true to the vision
- Familiarity with Figma or similar design tools (e.g., XD, Sketch, Axure, inVision, etc.)
- Familiarity with design systems (Material UI preferred)
- This position may require a US Government Clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

About the TeamAs a part of BrainGu’s Design team, you’ll support the delivery of elegant and simple solutions to real-world problems that delight the operator. Expect to push the boundaries of design by combining domain-specific data with an intuitive user experience, creating and implementing bespoke solutions for a variety of platforms and products.
This is a full time position, offering a hybrid work environment. The BrainGu Design Team primarily functions remotely, but occasional onsite and in-person collaboration with team members and customers should be expected. These collaborative sessions are typically held at WeWork coworking offices or at customer locations.
