Job Description

As the Product Designer for the In Life tribe, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing the experiences of our existing Shift customers and collaborating closely with internal teams.

You will own every aspect of design for the In Life tribe, from helping to identify, prioritise and unpack opportunities to shipping pixel-perfect user interfaces that are robust, and best-in-class where differentiation is important.

What you'll do: 

• Lead end-to-end design processes from discovery to execution, ensuring seamless integration across platforms
• Work closely with stakeholders across the business to define and refine user experiences that meet business objectives
• Map out front-to-back customer journeys and task flows
• Design & prototype intuitive user interfaces
• Talk to our customers to understand their needs and pain points
• Utilise customer insights to drive design decisions and identify growth opportunities.
• Help grow and maintain our design system
• Be an advocate for Product Design by sharing your work regularly, promoting best practices, and building strong relationships with your stakeholders

Qualifications

What you'll bring: 

• Experience designing complex, enterprise-level software with a strong portfolio showcasing successful outcomes.
• Skilled in planning, conducting, and synthesising user research to inform intuitive and effective design solutions.
• Background in finance and familiarity with B2B environments, ideally in transactional or real-time payments.
• Highly proficient in Figma for prototyping, finished designs, and implementing design systems.
• Ability to iterate rapidly, validate designs efficiently, and make pragmatic trade-offs when necessary.
• Exceptional communication skills with a track record of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders and running workshops. 
• Strong problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills, and a passion for innovation in product design.
