Senior Product Designer

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer with a specialized focus on CRM data, revenue, and reporting who will be responsible for adding insight and value to our internal and external reporting and revenue tracking products. Your work will be rooted in designing features that help operators make revenue-maximizing decisions via the SevenRooms platform. You will be joining a 13 person product team and reporting to our Product Design Lead.

The Venue Experience, Data, and Platform teams at SevenRooms are focused on core aspects of the SevenRooms product with a persistent underlying goal: Make it easy for restaurant operators to run their businesses and provide superb hospitality to their guests. Leveraging all the power and customizability of the SevenRooms platform, this fun and ambitious team is looking for a detail-driven, collaborative, user-obsessed, and organized Senior Product Designer looking to innovate in the core part of our product, surfacing clear and actionable data and insights to restaurant operators with the ultimate goal of optimizing revenue for their business. Product Designers at SevenRooms operate in a shared team, working alongside tenured members of the team with varied skill sets.

• User Experience Design: Conceptualize and design end-to-end user flows which minimize friction and accomplish goals for restaurant operators, allowing user needs and pain points to inform innovative design solutions.
• Data Visualization: Design CRM and reporting data that is clear, organized, and functional. Innovate in the display of data that promotes user interaction and comprehension. Own a set of reusable design patterns for SevenRooms' data and business intelligence features, not limited to simple charts and graphs.
• UX Research and Usability Testing: Lead design and product management teams in discovery research to identify users' needs, goals, and pain points; Conduct frequent usability tests on flows for constant iteration.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the product design team to review and hone your designs regularly as well as help others hone theirs. Collaborate with product management to align on outcomes and user needs.

• 2+ years of product design experience, B2B or B2B2C SaaS data visualization / business intelligence applications preferred; 5+ years of professional experience
• Experience designing successful business intelligence, monetization products
• Ability to translate user needs, goals, and pain points into highly functional designs
• A keen ability to organize data beautifully and functionally, utilizing visual elements like layout, hierarchy, and typography
• Curiosity to dig several layers deep into solutions with an eye toward continuous improvement
• An open mind & flexibility around testing new approaches and the ability to harness failures and turn them into wins
• Solid understanding of HTML and CSS fundamentals, and can communicate with engineers to ensure designs are properly implemented.
