Senior Product Designer, Listing Agent

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join a cross-functional product team in creating world-class experiences that help people find and enjoy a home of their own. 

Senior product designers play an integral role in the performance and operation of a high-functioning product team. This role is expected to partner with the Product Manager and Engineering Lead from start to finish, from initial research and understanding of user problems, through scoping and the creation of user flows, all the way to polished pixels, shipped to the hands of our 100 million consumers and real estate professionals.

To be successful in this role, you will need to confidently partner with your cross-functional team throughout the full product lifecycle with a high degree of comfort in all interaction & visual design activities. This is an opportunity to help build new innovative features for one of our primary customer types, and contribute to the design system & vision for our professional products. The person in this role will join a supportive team of product designers creating solutions for our Agent and Broker customers to grow their business and better support their clients through the buying and selling journey. 

This role reports to the Senior Director of Design.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders—including researchers, product leaders, engineers, product marketing, brand, and other designers—on complex problems

• Be the voice of the user, and explore multiple ideas while also knowing when to bring the work to an executable deliverable

• Deliver innovative solutions which significantly improve user experience across products for your team

• Independently lead all aspects of the design process from conception to completion

• Articulate the value of design as well as the reasons for your design decisions clearly, in non-designer-speak, to Product and Engineering teammates as well as other important stakeholders

What you’ll bring:

• 8+ years working in design industry

• 3+ years of working in a product-led organization

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred 

• Portfolio which examples a strong design point of view and depth of experience, including user-centered design methodologies, interaction flows, prototyping, high-fidelity screens, and shipped products

• Experience delivering multiple projects with cross-disciplined teams

• Strong and clear communication skills

• Informed and strong opinions, loosely held

• A practitioner of user-centric processes and design thinking principles

• Mastery of design
