Senior Product Designer - Therapies

About the role

This designer is responsible for advocating for, and designing, an intuitive and elevated experience for users of our Therapies product portfolio. This includes trial operations teams at pharma and biotech companies and clinical research teams, physicians, and care teams at healthcare providers. You will be a strong contributor to our goal of increasing the success rate of clinical trials to bring more targeted therapies to market and improve patient outcomes.

Leaning on your deep understanding of the product development process, you will execute on design from concept to development, working closely with product managers, engineers, and data scientists. You will lead research initiatives to help identify new product opportunities and drive roadmap priorities. You will also be responsible for communicating your findings and proposed solutions to internal stakeholders, including leaders of various business units, such as our Testing business, and C-level executives.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who not only thinks deeply about user needs, but also has an incredible eye for visual design.

Responsibilities

• Design simple, elegant, and user-centric experiences that maintain and increase usage over time
• Define the user experience, interactions, and user interface through user flows, information architecture, sketches and wireframes, and visual design
• Help shape the product strategy and vision based on the user needs and the business objectives
• Build functional prototypes to validate and test your designs
• Conduct user research and testing to validate hypothesis and finalize solutions
• Look for opportunities to solve problems in unique and innovative ways
• Help maintain visual and interaction consistency between products
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business and user goals into successful product experiences

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in fast-paced creative environments
• You are resilient, humble, and a people person
• You have experience mentoring designers of various backgrounds
• You’re a skilled storyteller and “conceptor”, with experience working in a multidisciplinary environment to develop concepts that delight customers and deliver business results
• A pixel perfect approach to design while being able to see the big picture when it comes to implementation
• You have an experience-first mentality and experience designing in various mediums
• Possess not just exceptional product design skills, but the ability to implement strategic and conceptual thinking as well. Capable of context switching between short and long-term visions
• A willingness to learn complex oncology data and the humility to work with experts that will know more about the topic and how the data should be displayed
• Strong organization and analytical thinking skills, with a track record of turning complex content into user scenarios and stories
• A compelling portfolio of work that demonstrates high-quality design work that also tells a story that exemplifies your deep design thinking
• Prior experience working within design systems
• Prior experience with user research and early phase product scoping
• Strong copy-writing skills
• Experience with Figma or a comparable tool
