Senior Product Designer (Visual)

As a Senior Product Designer in Product, Experience, & Engineering Lab (PXEL), you’ll work collaboratively within our dedicated cross-discipline teams to create flexible solutions that solve both user needs and business problems, and design digital experiences that form a connection, not just a transaction. As part of the Creative team, you’ll help push the quality of work we deliver to clients and contribute to the improvement of our approach and process. This position requires a strong understanding of visual design and usability best-practices, with a high degree of collaboration and autonomy.Â

Additionally, you’ll not only think about how product features will help solve problems, but you’ll think about how you can test and learn your way to validating or busting assumptions. You have experience in human-centered design practices and love advocating for the user. You’re the one who usually asks the questions; what we should do, and why. You’re a constant learner, a maker, a tinkerer, and a visual storyteller.Â

What You’re Good AtÂ
- Strong understanding of visual design principles, typography, interaction design, user-experience design, user research, information architecture, usability, and accessibility best practices Â
- Facilitating overall creation of content and experience beyond just layout with an understanding on how to inform strategy and approach Â
- Articulating a clear and informed point of view on product vision and strategy backed by evidence and objectives Â
- Display acumen for conceptual design innovation, originality of concepts, consistently demonstrating visual polish and excellenceÂ
- Creating original concepts, clear layouts and prototypes in multiple formats (devices, channels, screen sizes) that support multiple user types and business goalsÂ
- Applying and evolving a client’s design standards for multiple formats and audiences and defining clear and documented guidelines for others to followÂ
- Creating consensus from multiple stakeholders through proactive solicitation and incorporation of feedbackÂ
- Leading and defending client discussions, productively challenging ideas, and providing the rationale for creative concepts, visual design, and product visionÂ
- Ability to think conceptually and strategically across the design systems
- Taking ownership on all assigned tasks and following through with strong organizational skills and attention to detailÂ
- Leading towards clarity when things are ambiguous and staying nimble in a dynamic environmentÂ
- Demonstrating a positive, collaborative, and good team structure under varying degrees of pressure
- Exhibiting a growth mindset in regard to technology, trends, and industry best practices.
- Participation in practice development and recruiting activities such as methodology development, thought leadership, culture, and strategyÂ
Â
What You Have DoneÂ
- You have education in a relevant field, such as UX, graphic design, experience design, interaction design, product design, human-centered design Â
- You have a portfolio that demonstrated your abilities in thoughtful problem solving and polished execution Â
- You have 5+ years of designing digital experiences for a variety of mediums (mobile app, web portal, design concepts, etc.) with cross-functional teams
- Industry experience in Healthcare and/or Financial Services companies is preferred, but not mandatory
- You have experience coaching and mentoring junior level team members
- You are competent in modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision App, Adobe Creative Cloud
- Demonstrating inclusion, diversity, and openness to new ideas and perspectivesÂ
- Ability to work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentÂ
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications and client relations skills Â
- Familiarity with (or aptitude to quickly learn) digital collaboration tools (e.g., Miro, Figma)Â
- Ability to travel up to 50% with limited noticeÂ

Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role can vary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (see table below). Information on our competitive total rewards package, including our bonus structure and benefits is here.  Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.​
Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, purchase shares from our employee stock ownership program and be eligible to receive annual bonuses. Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Ten weeks of paid parental leave will also be available for use after successful completion of one year of employment.​
