Senior Product Development Associate, Soft Goods

Department Overview
As part of Nestig’s Product Development team and an early member of the company, you will have the opportunity to help build our curated products from the ground up. You will report to the Director of Product Development, Soft Goods from the São Paulo office and will be the driving force behind the organization and communication between the soft goods team and cross-functional departments.
This full-time position will be based out of our São Paulo office.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement standardized processes for all soft goods products (from initial inspiration through market opening and beyond!), ensuring new products and collections are executed and maintained efficiently and consistently;
- Serve as liaison between soft goods and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and communication;
- Oversee and maintain comprehensive documentation and tracking of all technical processes, specifications, and information, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all team members;
- Engage in brainstorming sessions with the design team to discuss researched collection themes, colors, and product ideas that reflect the Nestig brand integrity and aesthetic;
- Translate and compile completed surface designs into detailed product specifications, ensuring detailed understanding of garment construction is accurate for suppliers;
- Understand and apply basic pattern principles, making corrections to specs as needed to ensure accuracy and quality; communicate changes in construction, artwork, logo placement, etc.;
- Manage delivery of files and specifications to suppliers, providing ongoing support and communication on every step of the development process and finding solutions as needed;
- Communicate effectively with product team, design team, and suppliers on all technical construction details and issues, offering solutions and ensuring correlation between corrections and updated specs.
What You’ll Need
- 4+ years experience in a similar, product development role, ideally within an early-stage, growth-oriented company
- Must be able to work onsite in our São Paulo office three (3) days a week [Monday, Wednesday, Thursday], as well as additionally as needed
- Primary English communications skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to autonomously manage multiple assignments at once, while meeting deadlines and analyzing impact
- A passion for all things Product Development — you like generating and streamlining processes and executing strong communication
- Comfort with the ambiguity of changing priorities, and the flexibility to embrace new ideas within a fast-paced environment
- A willingness to roll up your sleeves and wear multiple hatsSelf-starter with a can-do, team-oriented attitude and ability to stay calm under pressure
