About this role:

Established mechanical engineer experienced in elements of product development and qualification activities. The individual would be working in a commercial HVAC (Chiller) product development team and be responsible for optimization of the product and its components. The engineer will support the engineering team in developing solutions that best meet the local/global market needs by integrating multiple technologies in the product. To do this, the engineer must have working knowledge of the HVAC&R system design, compression technologies, vapor compression system modeling, heat transfer, pressure vessel design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports design and qualification of commercial HVAC systems (water cooled chillers)
  • Conducts thermodynamics based modeling and optimization of the system
  • Develops components like compressor, heat exchanger etc in collaboration with technical experts. Experience with ASME pressure vessel design is preferred
  • Confirms product design performance, capability and reliability in the engineering product test laboratories
  • Collaborates with manufacturing faculties to effectively implement design into production
  • Collaborates with the product marketing teams to develop product requirements and ensure that the product meets their needs when launched

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree with 5+ years mechanical HVAC industries or strong product development within manufacturing industries

OR

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years in mechanical HVAC industries or strong product development within manufacturing industries

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Product development experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, primarily in English
  • Leadership and teamwork skills are required
  • Travel: Less than 10%
