Senior Product Development Manager - Consumer Products

Bungie’s Consumer Products team fuels franchise fandom through unique merchandise offerings and collectible rewards. The Senior Product Development Manager is responsible for driving multi-year planning efforts for Bungie’s Consumer Products business. Reporting to the Director of Consumer Products, this role manages a team whose mission is to seek merchandise opportunities that expand fandom for Bungie's games and bring them to life according to the Consumer Products strategic plans and workflows. This role works alongside Publishing, Franchise Leadership, Sourcing and Procurement, Creative Studios, Analytics, and Suppliers to drive merchandise programs forward.

RESPONSIBILITIES         

·        Partner with a cross-functional team of stakeholders to create and align on inspiring merchandise plans for existing and new IP with a data-informed approach

·        Manage and mentor a team of high-functioning, experienced Product Development staff to scale current processes and programs

·        Establish deep understanding of the consumer as well as upcoming in-game content and marketing activations to support the development of seasonal plans and assortments

·        Be the liaison with IP franchise leadership on business and revenue plans and status updates on a regular cadence

·        Consistently translate team goals into solutions, identify more cost-effective alternates and describe tradeoffs

REQUIRED SKILLS

·        Previous experience developing and executing merchandise and product strategies for a direct-to-consumer business

·        Experience managing a team with leadership skills that align with Bungie values

·        Excellent presentation skills leveraging Microsoft Suite and other programs to visually and verbally articulate key points

·        Capacity and confidence to be highly engaged and collaborative in a hybrid work environment

·        Ability to tackle ambiguity head-on to drive the planning process for merchandise programs on a 18–24-month future-facing timeline through strong communication and organizational skills

·        Dedication to shipping best-in-class product, within real-world resource and business constraints

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS    

·        Familiarity working with multiple franchises and established IPs

·        Passion for consumer products or collectibles

·        Familiarity with Bungie's current and past releases
