Senior Product Engineer, Backend (Node.js + Go)

This role sits at the intersection of backend engineering, distributed systems, and next-generation AI-driven infrastructure. You will help build the core backend platform powering an agentic AI observability product designed for scale, reliability, and developer usability. Working in a fast-moving, highly technical environment, you will collaborate closely with AI engineers to productionize complex agent workflows and ensure they run securely and efficiently. The position involves designing resilient systems, optimizing performance-critical components, and shaping architectural decisions for a rapidly evolving platform. You will contribute to both product and platform strategy while helping define how autonomous AI systems operate in production. This is a high-impact role for engineers who enjoy solving deep technical challenges at the frontier of AI and infrastructure.

• Build and evolve backend infrastructure for an agentic AI observability platform using Node.js and Go
• Collaborate with AI engineers to productionize and optimize agent workflows for reliability and performance
• Design and implement secure execution environments for untrusted or dynamically generated code
• Develop distributed systems components with a focus on scalability, resilience, and async processing
• Own and improve platform stability, including monitoring, observability, and incident response readiness
• Establish engineering patterns for agentic services, including debugging, system design, and reliability standards
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmap shaping for the backend platform
• Mentor engineers and support knowledge sharing across backend and platform teams

Requirements:

• Strong professional experience with Node.js, and solid proficiency in Go
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous architectures, and production-grade backend services
• Experience designing and operating highly reliable and scalable systems in production
• Interest in AI systems, agentic workflows, or infrastructure supporting LLM-based applications
• Experience working with or securing environments involving untrusted code execution
• Strong engineering judgment and ability to leverage modern AI-assisted development tools effectively
• Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on documentation and collaboration
• Nice to have: experience with agentic AI systems, LLM pipelines, or sandboxed execution environments
• Nice to have: familiarity with OpenTelemetry or observability platforms
• Nice to have: experience in high-growth or venture-backed startup environments
