As the Senior Product Lifecycle Manager at Mill, you will manage email marketing from a technical customer lifecycle perspective. In order to be successful, you should have solid Program Management experience as well as strong XFN leadership skills.


Responsibilities

Customer Communication Strategy & Program Management

  • Channel ownership for all Mill customer communication channels, including email, push, SMS, member support, and in-app marketing
  • Develop overarching strategy, goals, KPIs, reporting, and processes of Mill customer communications channels in conjunction with Marketing, Product and Business teams
  • Work with Product, Marketing and Business teams to build out a strategy for initial onboarding flows, transactional emails, and other key lifecycle programs 
  • Responsible for execution/implementation of campaigns across the Marketing, Product and Business teams
  • Lead cross-functionally to define schedules, requirements, resources, and integration plans to drive new member growth and existing member engagement and retention through lifecycle channels
  • Communicate program status and prioritize initiatives across the Mill

Product Communications Operations

  • Directly responsible for maintaining and building out a world-class mar-tech and comms stack across marketing, product, communications, and business team stakeholders
  • Own evaluation, goal-setting and implementation planning for key comms tools
  • Ownership of cross-functional process and systems to ensure efficient delivery of product and marketing messages at the highest levels of quality and precision
  • Own capacity planning and resourcing against major initiatives 

Communications Analytics

  • Directly responsible for communications channel attribution, reporting, and analytics in partnership with central data analytics team
  • Create foundational reporting for all communications channels 
    • Ex: create the overall communications report encompassing all performance
  • Model and forecast communications performance to inform overall revenue expectations from marketing

Qualifications: 

  • A minimum of 7+ years experience with customer communications, customer retention, A/B testing and experimentation experience
  • Experience using both internal tools and commercial SaaS products like Sales Force, Braze, SendGrid, and experience in mobile push and SMS
  • Experience managing email campaign set-up, scheduling, testing, and deployment of batch, nurture, onboarding, engagement programs and triggered-based campaigns
  • HTML coding
  • Proficient with Excel (can perform complex functions), data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) and manual analysis
  • Experience querying large datasets (Big Query, MySQL) to gather metrics and find insights
  • Prior collaboration with product and engineering teams to lead engineering requirements and troubleshoot issues, and experience partnering with data science and analytics teams.
  • Strong program management experience 

The estimated base salary range for this position is $140k to $175k, which does not include the value of benefits or a potential equity grant. A wide range of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, market conditions, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and business and organizational needs. At Mill, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
