The Role
Voltus is looking for a Senior Product Manager to help us build the leading Distributed Energy Resource (DER) platform. 
 
In this role you will be responsible for owning a product pod, including researching customer needs, defining vision and strategy, establishing roadmaps, coordinating with designers and engineers to execute on ongoing initiatives, and measuring the impact of the pod.
 
You are an enthusiastic right-brain communicator, with strong left-brain technical capability. You love simplifying complex concepts and can quickly deep dive into the heart of an issue. You are eager to work with some of the smartest software engineers out there, and to learn from and collaborate with them and other Bright, Gritty, and Good colleagues.
 
Voltus is a fully distributed company and this job is remote. You have the flexibility to work from anywhere, but your workday must align with a US-based time zone.



Key Responsibilities
  • Own the roadmap for a product pod, including developing objectives, strategy and delivery milestones
  • Be the champion of user needs, business value and market knowledge, using these to define requirements and drive prioritization for the pod
  • Build best-in-class user experience for these products that drives high adoption, satisfaction, retention
  • Perform research and conduct analysis to determine the success of initiatives
  • Collaborate with the engineering manager to manage the day-to-day efforts of ongoing initiatives, from managing standups, to triaging bugs, to providing project updates 
  • Partner with cross-functional teams within Voltus to ensure the product is successful, adequately supported, integrated with the company’s operations and aligned with our business strategy
  • Communicate initiatives and results with stakeholders across the organization



Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of product development experience
  • Strong understanding of SaaS or hardware from a business and technical perspective
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple work streams simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts and software development methodologies
  • Ability to distill data into actionable insights
  • Equally strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bonus: experience working in an agile environment
  • Bonus: experience working in the energy technology industry
