Senior Product Manager

As a Senior Product Manager on the Spot team, you'll be an integral member of a cross-functional development team that's building next-generation applications of our cutting-edge robotics technology. Spot is helping utilities and manufacturers monitor their equipment with dynamic sensing, and you will play a part in designing and building integrated solutions that help our customers accomplish their asset inspection tasks. To thrive in this role, you must have a demonstrated ability to identify important product signals and target agile development teams to build features that quantifiably add value to end-users.

How you will make an impact:

• Work with customers remotely and on-site to understand their needs, how they are using our products, and how we can help them succeed.
• Document and distill customer information into high-quality artifacts to inform internal discussions and start the design process.
• Work with designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to design and prioritize features to accomplish user and business results.
• Develop and refine product requirements to describe features and align the team.
• Work with hardware and software developers throughout an agile development process to prioritize, scope, implement, test, ship, and evaluate features.
• Manage the agile development process, iterating quickly in response to customer feedback and business results.
• Review customer data and metrics to validate hypotheses, identify usage patterns, and assess performance of existing features.

We are looking for:

• 3+ years of experience as a product manager for a hardware product.
• Demonstrated ability to execute hardware development best practices.
• Experience proposing, refining, and validating hardware and software requirements.
• Capacity to distill customer requests into actionable and appropriately scoped problem definitions for the engineering team.
• Experience working with customers in asset management, construction, manufacturing, utilities or other asset-intensive industries is a plus.

Travel:

• Occasional travel to customer sites for user testing, interviews, and observation.
