Senior Product Manager

Job Description

Position Summary

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for leading product discovery and delivery and building products that improve our customers' journeys and our business outcomes. The ideal candidate has significant experience in the residential real estate space and utilizes this expertise to drive thought leadership, innovation, and product differentiation.

Essential Functions

• Ensure on-budget and on-time delivery of initiatives
• Bring customer and competitive knowledge to the Product Team and the organization, and leverage research to provide actionable insights
• Lead Product Teams consisting of a product owner, a product sponsor, UX/UI designers, developers, a tech lead, and a quality engineer
• Build requirements-based prototypes and work with Agile teams to deliver high quality software
• Build organizational understanding of products, markets, and trends including identification of potential technologies, best practices, competitive analysis, and strategic partners
• Deliver thorough, insightful, and innovative plans to ensure the executive team understands product opportunities, costs, and tradeoffs
• Leverage a holistic understanding of the product vision and roadmap to identify opportunities for product transformation, combine parallel initiatives, and manage development investment
• Partner with the Analytics team develop a comprehensive understanding of customer demographics, motivations, and friction points
• Develop a system for and ensure compliance with documentation standards for Product Management
• Partner with the Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Legal teams to develop and execute launch plans
• Serve as the General Manager of your products, and treat each product as its own distinct P&L

Experience and Skills

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred
• 8+ years of Product Management in a SaaS-based environment
• Track record of owning and delivering on both large strategic projects and smaller tactical projects
• Experience with key product management functions, including: writing requirements/user stories; creating mocks/wireframes/prototypes; market research and consumer insights; competitive analysis; product planning; and reporting
• Ability to see the big picture and manage the details
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good understanding of the current technology landscape
• High EQ and the ability to build consensus across various groups and levels to drive results
• Ability to synthesize and articulate complex concepts
• Identify opportunities for tests and measure outcomes
• Strong leadership skills and effective at managing in all directions, including staff and executive management

Preferred:

• Domain expertise in residential real estate preferred
• Managing Product Managers preferred
• Experience with B2C products a plus
• Experience with early stage companies a plus
