About the Role

As the Product Manager for Platform Services, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the product strategy for essential components of our healthcare technology platform. You will be responsible for overseeing the development and enhancement of platform services, including metadata management, access control, user management, and authentication policies. A Day in the Life

  • Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and roadmap features related to metadata management and user access controls in healthcare IT environments.
  • Metadata Management: Define and implement metadata standards and practices tailored to healthcare data, ensuring accurate categorization, enrichment, and compliance with industry standards (e.g., HL7, OAuth2).
  • User Access Controls: Design and implement user access control frameworks (e.g., RBAC, ABAC) that adhere to healthcare data privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
  • User Management: Develop policies and features for user provisioning, authentication, and authorization within healthcare applications and systems.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with healthcare providers, IT administrators, and compliance officers to gather feedback, validate product features, and ensure alignment with industry needs and regulatory requirements.
  •  Product Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive product documentation and conduct training sessions for internal teams and end-users on metadata best practices, access control procedures, and compliance measures.

What You Need 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience (internships or academic projects included) in product management or related roles within healthcare IT, focusing on metadata management, data governance, or security.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7) and regulations (e.g.,HIPAA).
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable product features. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to evolving healthcare technology trends and regulatory changes.



Preferred Skills:

  • Certification: Product management certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner,
  • Pragmatic Marketing Certified) or willingness to pursue certification.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with metadata management tools and platforms (e.g. Collibra, Informatica Metadata Manager) in a healthcare context.
  • Compliance: Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to healthcare data privacy and security (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
