At Shelf Engine our mission is to reduce food waste through automation. We harness the power of AI to provide real-time intelligent forecasting for food retailers and vendors across the United States. We’re able to drastically reduce the amount of food waste which in turn drives profit for retailers lowers costs for consumers and reduces the negative ecological and social impacts of waste.Shelf Engine is searching for a talented Senior Product Manager to join our growing team. In this role you will work with multiple teams across functions to scale the Shelf Engine business. The goal is to help Shelf Engine develop new products that attract new customers and drive expansion with existing customers.

This position is based in Seattle WA or remote.

As a Senior Product Manager at Shelf Engine you will:

  • Deeply research and understand the grocery and food industry including its suppliers logistics customers and store operations
  • Develop features and products that help Shelf Engine scale our operations across the industry and grow our impact
  • Partner closely with our engineering team to translate customer needs into effective technical solutions

What we are looking for in a candidate:

  • You embrace our company principles: make the first move make better decisions be furiously curious commit and deliver have empathy invent solutions be authentic
  • 5+ years of experience in a technology-focused product management role/s specifically software design working with engineers and exploring and building products from concept to execution
  • Skilled at working in an agile environment
  • Great communication in written and verbal forms ability to concisely express complex ideas and adjust appropriately to different audiences
  • Highly skilled at data-informed and user-centered decision making even when there’s uncertainty
  • Deep curiosity and empathy for customers and for colleagues
  • Comfortable in fast paced environment with a ‘Roll-up your sleeves’ attitude
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a STEM related field) or equivalent professional experience
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer
