Job Description
As a Senior Product Manager you will oversee the Work, Inspect, and Audit products within our SightPlan division (recently acquired by SmartRent) and work out of our downtown Orlando, FL office. You will own our Work product ecosystem, from web to mobile solutions for corporate staff, property managers, vendors, etc. This includes software that manages the task workflow, inspections, audits, and service provider integrations for community level personas.
Day-to-day you will be involved in every aspect of the product development lifecycle, from formulating the next innovative idea to working directly with end users, designers, engineers and stakeholders to implement key feature enhancements. You will be expected to push the boundaries of what’s possible, share our healthy obsession for quality and attention to detail, and play a key role in crafting our best-in-class solutions.
Responsibilities
- Identify, drive and own product development from existing feature enhancements to entirely new key milestones for the company
- Collect and translate business requirements into detailed technical documentation containing thorough acceptance criteria
- Maintain a current understanding of and perspective on industry trends and competitive offerings
- Lead cross-functional alignment to understand, develop, and prioritize product needs and requirements
- Effectively assess and manage trade-offs between cost/schedule versus business/client benefit
- Lead our internal framework of software & product development meetings while taking detailed notes with clearly defined action items and continually managing the product feedback lifecycle
- Participate & facilitate in agile activities such as backlog grooming, feature prioritization and sprint planning
- Define and ensure user acceptance and testing criteria is captured and followed throughout the QA process
- Maintain a direct line of communication with power users
- Collaborate with support, operations and sales to understand existing friction points to develop a shared vision for the resident experience
- Aggregate feedback from all channels to drive priority
- Create exciting release notes & how-to articles for internal teams and end users
- Work closely with product marketing and other commercial teams to help create effective go-to-market assets and communications
- Define, build and maintain user personas, journey maps and product roadmaps
- Assist our design team in the creation of product prototypes, wireframes and mockups
- Maintain internal training tools, user guides and knowledge base articles
- Communicate effectively with all internal teams and external entities teams to set accurate expectations and proper timelines for product delivery
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related technical degree
- 6+ years of experience in a Product Manager capacity, mobile and web product experience required
- Demonstrated capabilities executing end-to-end quantitative and qualitative customer research and effectively identifying and interpreting key findings
- Highly analytical and diligent personality with ability to constantly solve problems and quickly plan out new features with meticulous attention to detail
- Able to quickly understand technical concepts and engineering trade-offs
- Expertise in researching, defining and documenting complex business processes
- Ability to understand customer needs, business goals and competitive pressures with the ability to convert those into technical documents
- High aptitude to proactively develop customer relationships by empathizing, understanding, anticipating, and providing solutions to customer needs
- Experience owning and defining a product roadmap and prioritizing features based on end user needs
- Proven capability to form tight partnerships with designers and engineers to solve both user experience as well as technical problems
- Successful track record of collaboration with key stakeholders
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Productboard, Miro, Amplitude, Gitlab, Github, Moqups, Zeplin, Sketch, Invision, Adobe Illustrator, XD
- Must be passionate about the business with a constant desire to learn more and improve the user experience!
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in proptech, multifamily housing, consumer IoT or similar SaaS companies preferred
