Submittable is looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to join our team in Seattle, WA or Missoula, MT. As a Senior Product Manager, you'll guide the evolution of our next generation of software. You'll work with designers and engineering teams to create solutions that meet the needs of our customers and partners. The Senior Product Manager is also responsible for discovering market opportunities, identifying and articulating customer problems, evangelizing, and building solutions. The senior product manager defines what to build and when to build it.
This is a full-time position and reports to the Director of Product.
The Senior Product Manager responsibilities include:
- Implement discovery processes to demonstrate what we should build, for whom, and why
- Working in partnership with UX, be a passionate advocate for your users. You do right by them, always!
- Partner with engineering to determine the best way to meet product and user requirements
- Define, evangelize, and maintain a product roadmap
- Use Lean practices to create, launch, and iterate
- Manage work across multiple projects based on company needs, priorities and engineering capacity
- Engage company leadership to drive vision, awareness, and excitement for upcoming releases
- Develop, propose, and negotiate product pricing
- Regularly engage with and update stakeholders
- Drive cross-functional teams to guide GTM, training, and rollouts of new products and features
- Mentor team members
- Contribute to improving our product development processes and best practices
You will have these qualities and experience:
- Experience with SaaS and associated business models, mobile app development, and ML and big data
- 4+ years commercial software delivery experience
- Experience bringing new products to market
- Experience in FinTech and third-party integrations is a plus
- Experience building solutions to support regional and local government agencies.
- Understanding of web development, web app architecture, terminology and processes.
- Experience differentiating from competition
- Work in a "triad" (product manager, product designer, and senior software engineer) to find solutions.
- Clear in written and verbal communication.
