Senior Product Manager
Job Description
Position Purpose: Oversee the development and management of company products. Drive ongoing definition, integration, and enhancement of selected company products and assess the performance of existing products to ensure market expectations are met.
Capture market needs and define requirements, including concept, use cases, feature functions acceptance criteria and growth opportunities
Responsible for strategic and tactical planning activities related to development and deployment of system enhancements
Participate in the design and development of the product strategy, roadmap and priorities
Interface with clients on product design and business requirements
Promote product benefits, capabilities, and value propositions through relationship with key internal and external customers
Gather and analyze feedback from internal and external stakeholders and recommend potential changes
Participate in scrum team meetings as needed to ensure team understands requested functionality and provide backlog prioritization input
Monitor the status of specific development projects supporting new features
Conduct business-level verification and market testing of new features
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Nursing, or related field, or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred. 7+ years of product management or project management experience in a healthcare enterprise solutions environment. Experience developing and delivering care management solutions and agile development methodology preferred.
For Buckeye plan only: 7 years of experience in a product management role, preferably in health insurance. CMS experience and/or experience with an annual bid process is preferred. Additional responsibilities include: Influence and collaborate with cross-functional leadership team to define and execute strategic priorities to ensure success of product. Determine, develop and continually improves strategies, objectives and policies for the long term portfolio and identifies and resolves any issues that may hinder program success. Evaluate enhancements to products to assess how they support strategic plan, membership enrollment and retention targets. Define and execute strategies to manage cost structure and deliver competitively priced products to improve profit and loss statement performance, including tracking programs to manage medical costs, unit costs, and selling costs.
