Job Title: Senior Product Manager (IC 6)


Censys knows the internet and cloud better than anyone else. Attack Surface Management provides customers with an attacker-centric view of all externally facing internet and cloud to extend visibility, prioritize, and remediate the most critical risk exposures that will actually lead to a breach. Our daily IPv4 scans and the world’s largest SSL/TLS Certificate database enables customers with the most accurate and continuously updated attack surfaces. Enterprise security teams leverage Censys to keep pace with the speed of the business and gain an advantage on the rapidly evolving cyber-attack threats.

Role Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for executing our risk strategy and play an integral role in prioritizing risk workflows and software, device, and network labeling to enable the detection of risks that attackers will exploit. You will also support the evaluation of different data and intelligence sources to facilitate risk prioritization. The threat landscape is constantly changing. There is a tremendous opportunity to make a massive impact in the way organizations secure their attack surface and defend against threats.

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Understanding and communicating the problem of our users and customers

  • Owning your functional area from end to end from discovery to launch to post-launch

  • Defining requirements for a solution that delights our users and customers

  • Surfacing key insights and patterns to inform the vision, strategy, and product roadmap.

  • Communicating product roadmap to external and internal stakeholders 

  • Collaborating with User Experience Researchers to conduct qualitative customer interviews, identify challenging customers problems, and validate use cases 

  • Defining, sequencing, and prioritizing the product backlog into discrete milestones that enable R&D to continuously develop and deliver incremental customer value on the path to releasing an MVP

  • Identifying risks before they become critical blockers by closely working with teams to build a technical understanding of the solution’s limitations 

  • Partnering with Product Marketing Manager counterparts to enable Go-To-Market teams  with positioning, messaging, and differentiation

  • Setting success metrics and tracking metrics post-launch to guide investment in iterative improvements

  • Understanding general business operations, including how customers interact with Censys, to facilitate improvement of key processes to remove bottlenecks and improve productivity

  • Building a deep understanding of competitive and emergent solutions to inform gap analysis and product roadmap decisions

Required Qualifications:

  • Six (6) or more years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.

  • Experience developing SaaS applications for cyber security or cloud solutions

  • Experience operating in an Agile development environment

  • Drive clarity in an area through strong verbal and written communication  

  • Effectively influence others to action without formal authority

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a security practitioner

  • Passionate about cyber security and gaining the attacker’s perspective

  • Familiarity with writing fingerprints to determine vendor, product, and versions in the context of vulnerability management

  • Familiarity with cloud misconfigurations and risks

  • Prior experience in fast paced startup environment where changes happen quickly


Our target salary range for this role is between $134,000 USD and $181,000 USD + bonus eligibility and equity.

We are located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, however we are open to hiring this position fully remote, with travel opportunities to meet customers and connect with colleagues.
