The Farmer’s Dog was born from a mission to change the landscape of pet health, providing dogs and their humans with honest, smart, and simple care. Where You'll Come InThe Farmer’s Dog is looking for a data-driven and customer-obsessed Senior/Group Product Manager to build personalized and intuitive experiences that build trust and certainty in customers. You’ll distill insights into an actionable product roadmap and work with our Engineering team to scope, build, and ship high-impact features that meaningfully improve organic acquisitions and overall conversion. You'll be joining the Product Management function with a singular focus on Retention.Â
This is a highly cross-functional role in which you’ll be collaborating daily with engineering, product design, operations, CX, data, etc. As such, your projects will be diverse and across all stages of the development lifecycle -- you’ll have the opportunity to think big in blue sky brainstorming sessions as well as go deep with more tactical strategies and specs. You’ll also drive rapid experimentation and improvements to both the foundations we lay as we scale new products as well as the optimizations we make to core product experiences. - Lead the ideation, testing, development, and launch of innovative features and products that improve customers’ retention across the entire lifecycle.
- Identify big ideas that move the needle on our subscription experience. Including new applications, improvements to our backend services. Partner with engineering and leadership to assure space to get them done.
- Opportunity to work day in and out with our amazing design and engineering teams, but also when needed influence our physical product experience cross functionally. Prioritize these efforts to craft iterative roadmaps and clearly communicate objectives.
- Use quantitative and qualitative data to deeply understand our customers’ lifecycle across all stages and mindsets; use findings to identify opportunities to improve, and deploy strategies that improve both conversion and lifelong retention.
- Build and manage a strategic retention product roadmap.
- Develop and implement an experimentation roadmap that maximizes learnings while minimizing risk. Prioritize work within the engineering roadmap to experiment and learn quickly while also building systems and features that work at scale.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Engineering, Product Design, Data Strategy & Insights, CX, and Brand and actively work to empower our partners to be more effective, in order to accomplish these objectives.
- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally at an tech company with strong consumer facing presence. Bonus points for any experience with physical x digital product integrations!
- Consistent record of shipping high-impact experiences. We are open to other backgrounds too as long as you can demonstrate how you can transfer them effectively!
- Have a customer-centric mentality and experience collaborating with design, engineering, but also brand, operations etc…
- You love to be challenged by your work and are excited to tackle sophisticated, tricky problems without any standard off-the-shelf solutions
- Highly analytical and hands-on with customer data - focused on uncovering measurable insights and deeply familiar with tools to support conversion, personalization, and digital product efforts.
- Very comfortable with retention analytics and customer segmentation - you feel confident you could identify key customer segments and build features to improve their experience.
- Proven track record of building an experimentation roadmap and function, including multivariate and longitudinal tests.
