Who are we looking for

Our AI Music team is looking for an accomplished product manager with experience building consumer-oriented software products, strong technical skills, and strong knowledge of music theory.

As a Senior Product Manager in the AI Music team, you will work in the cross-functional team that builds novel AI-driven products and experiences for millions of creators and fans who joined BandLab to make music, grow, earn, and interact with each other.

You will report directly to the Head of Product and work closely with the executive and engineering teams to develop and define the products you are responsible for. You should be an expert in product management and cross-functional communications and be able to digest multiple inputs and navigate complex tradeoffs between multiple parties.

Key Focus Areas and Responsibilities

• Drive the product research, development, and releases within the AI Music team.
• Translate the needs of stakeholders into product requirements for the engineering team.
• Own the product backlog and product roadmap.
• Strategize, plan, and monitor product development across sprints to balance resources and keep track of delivery via bi-weekly check-ins with the team.
• Organize product requirements via "digestible" user stories with clear acceptance criteria, wireframes, and event flows.
• Collaborate with other cross-functional teams and individual contributors to deliver products on time with the best possible quality.

Requirements

Essential

• 5+ years in product management with at least 2+ years of experience working on consumer products.
• Effective communication and ability to gather inputs from stakeholders and convert them into deliverables.
• The ability to break down complex requirements into user stories with clear acceptance criteria is essential.
• Ability to inspire and rally a team around vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• Expertise in prioritization and roadmapping.
• Strong sense of responsibility.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Bonus Points

• Experience working with generative AI products.
• Music production knowledge is a big plus.
• Experience working with or integrating payment processors and gateways like Stripe and PayPal.
