Senior Product Manager, AIX Platform
Job Description
The Senior Product Manager, AIX Platform will be the primary owner of the digital cloud platform, and it's integration with and imaging systems and clinical applications, responsible for user needs definition, product development leadership, commercialization, and sales support in addition to acting as one of the senior representatives for the broader AIX product group.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understands and leads the development of the end-to-end workflow of surgeons' engagement in the platform spanning pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative settings.
- Specific ownership of the user (surgeon) facing web portal in addition to all required cloud integrations to other end point applications.
- Develops product strategies and roadmaps for cloud-based capabilities and integration points.
- Ensures solutions meet not only end user (surgeon) needs but also data collection and research needs.
- Leads integration of 'data driven capabilities' where AI powered insights are incorporated into the user experience.
- Serves a senior marketing representative on perioperative side of AIX group, leading surgeon design meetings and calls and as a focal point for downstream sales collaboration through an understanding of all imaging and data related product offerings.
- Drives the development and implementation of product marketing campaigns for AIX product lines, including: setting objectives and short- and long-term strategies, conducting market research and competition tracking, developing product mix and action plans, ROI analysis.
- Interfaces with CAM team and sales counterparts to drive imaging sales and utilization.
- Manages relationships with key industry partners.
- Analyzes market trends, company sales and buyer behavior and makes modifications to product strategies accordingly.
- Develops and presents business cases as justification for new products, as required.
- Facilitates field engagement efforts including field announcements, business development calls, training sessions etc.
- When necessary, participates or drives the delivery of high-quality sales collateral, efficient customer service processes, and optimized operations to support assigned product line.
- Develops and monitors sales forecasts as necessary and works collaboratively with other departments to optimize product mix throughout product lifecycle.
- Monitors competitive landscape to stay abreast of market trends by regularly reviewing scientific literature, competitor's product offerings, traveling with field sales personnel, attending surgeries, meeting with stakeholders, attending scientific meetings, etc.
- Develops product presentations, surgical techniques, and white papers in support of sales and corporate marketing campaigns, e.g. product binders, web sites, brochures, etc.
- Collaborates responsively and proactively with sales to ensure quality product support of new product launches, existing product segments, training programs, and key surgeon and account management.
- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with designing and consulting physicians.
- Routinely interfaces with Company managers/directors of other product lines to fully understand the interdependent relationship between product portfolios.
- Supports the Company's Medical Education department in preparation and running of surgeon and sales training courses that may include didactic and cadaver labs.
- Collaborates with communications and other related departments to develop creative promotional, advertising and value-added services to maximize revenue for assigned product line.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering or related field with minimum of 6+ years of related experience.
- Must have medical device industry experience, preferably in spine.
- Demonstrated success bringing computer assisted medical technologies to market and driving significant adoption.
- Experience collaborating with development teams, sales leadership and reps, customer service and field ops to drive the right development projects and successfully launch products in new and existing markets
- Knowledge of computer applications (i.e.: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access & Project, Windows, Internet applications, etc.) required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Superior interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workflow and to meet established timeframes.
- Ability to multi-task within a cross-functional team and matrix management structure.
- Strong attention to details.
- Ability to represent the company at a variety of business functions or situations in a professional and competent manner.

- Ability to maintain updated knowledge of procedures, products and activities of assigned product line.

- Proven skill and experience in overall market analysis, planning, development and management.
- Demonstrated strategic/tactical planning and implementation capabilities.
- Experience with and understanding of a clinical/surgical environment and workflow.
- Ability to travel up to 40 percent.

Salary Range
Alphatec Spine, Inc. complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate's qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $132,500 to $164,105 Full-Time Annual Salary
