Senior Product Manager, API

You will work closely with Carta’s Platform Infrastructure team, supporting internal and external developers tasked with solving the most complex challenges facing Carta today. You will work across Product, Engineering, and other supporting functions to drive the product strategy and oversee the build and execution of Carta's API platform.

• Build and improve Carta’s API technology stack and data delivery mechanisms.
• Create a thriving developer ecosystem of third-party apps around Carta’s public API while driving engineering excellence with internal APIs.
• Identify opportunities and distill them into a product strategy by working closely with different partner segments such as VC firms, Funds, Accelerators, Law Firms, EFS, and HRIS providers.
• Work cross-functionally with different engineering, product, and strategy teams to ensure a clear, concise strategy and execution framework.
• Elevate Carta’s brand awareness and status as an API provider and industry leader.

• You have at least three years of product management experience in APIs, Infrastructure, or developer tools. 
• You deeply understand API technology for both consumption and production lifecycles. 
• You’re knowledgeable about the market dynamics of employing API technology to drive revenue and utilization-based business success.
• You enjoy working with a fast paced, passionate team.
• You’re curious and always want to go deeper, becoming an expert in each domain you touch.
• You are able to balance uncertainty with vision, creating long-term plans while understanding when they need to change.
• You have strong executive communication skills and can navigate complex discussions.
