The position is offered as a contract to cover a parental leave, with potential for extension, and requires collaboration across distributed teams and time zones.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from discovery to delivery, ensuring alignment with defined OKRs
  • Identify new product opportunities and contribute to shaping future strategic priorities and key results
  • Set and manage priorities for a cross-functional team including design, engineering, and community specialists
  • Collaborate closely with global community members and ambassadors to co-create impactful product solutions
  • Partner with other product managers and departments to maintain alignment with broader organizational goals
  • Drive iterative releases, validate hypotheses, and continuously improve product features based on feedback
  • Measure product performance using both qualitative insights and quantitative data to assess impact

  • Requirements:

    • 3+ years of experience managing user-facing digital or consumer web products
    • Proven track record of successfully launching and iterating on product features
    • Experience working in cross-functional teams within agile or iterative development environments
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly convey plans and outcomes
    • Excellent listening and collaboration abilities, especially in diverse and distributed teams
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
    • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles
    • Interest in contributing to open knowledge, community-driven platforms, or mission-based initiatives
    • Nice to have:

      • Experience with two-sided platforms or marketplace products
      • Familiarity with analytics, experimentation, or A/B testing methodologies
      • Experience building mobile-first or mobile-friendly product features
      • Background in engagement-driven products that encourage long-term user participation
      • Experience working in fully remote, asynchronous environments
      • Exposure to community-led, volunteer-based, or open-source ecosystems
      • Knowledge of emerging markets or multilingual environments

      • Benefits:

        • Competitive hourly compensation adjusted to location and experience
        • Fully remote work environment with flexible collaboration across time zones
        • Opportunity to contribute to impactful, globally recognized digital products
        • Inclusive and mission-driven culture focused on equity and accessibility
        • Exposure to a diverse, international team and user base
        • Potential contract extension based on performance and business needs
