Senior Product Manager, Cloud Operations

Checkr is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the Foundations - Cloud Services team. This team focuses on providing our internal engineers with world class cloud infrastructure from core services like AWS, observability and monitoring tools like Datadog, and CI/CD tools like Gitlab.

As a Senior Product Manager on the Cloud Services team, you will lead the modularization of our infrastructure into scalable and predictable components, ensure best practices in reliability and observability of our services, develop repeatable strategies for complex infrastructure migrations, and continuously innovate on ways to accelerate the velocity and quality of software development at Checkr.

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain and evolve the Checkr infrastructure strategy to increase reliability and reduce friction for Checkr internal development teams.
• Create self-service tools for all teams to use advanced infrastructure features
• Own Checkr development environments and new customer-facing sandbox environments
• Work with the security team to constantly improve our security posture

What you bring:

• 3-5+ years of experience as a Product Manager
• Experience with scaling distributed systems and technologies (Kubernetes, and Helm)
• Familiarity with cloud services in AWS, Azure, and other managed cloud-centric providers and applications
• An understanding of concepts related to SDLC, CI/CD, IaC, and Source Code Management

Brownie Points:

• Experience with Okteto, EKS, Istio, Vault, and/or ArgoCD/Rollouts.
• Experience tying initiatives to DORA metrics to drive organizational success
• A bonus in having AWS Cloud Practitioner or Azure Fundamentals (AZ900) certifications.

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with Colorado law, the base salary for this role if filled within Colorado is $126,438 - $148,750
