Senior Product Manager, Commerce Editor Experience
Job Description
Reporting into the Senior Director of Product, you will contribute to the development of products through market and competitive research, user engagement and interviews, business analysis and problem identification. Ideal candidates are independent and creative, with the ability to get to the root of a user problem. You have a knack for efficiency and streamlining workflows gets you out of bed in the morning. Very importantly, you are a commerce enthusiast with interest in solving a wide array of problems in this area.
As a Sr. Product Manager for the Commerce track, you will work closely with other seasoned product managers focusing on User Experience and Data & Automation, and with engineering teams to refine and execute on our roadmap. You will collaborate across tracks with the CMS team to build in conjunction with larger platform standards. You will participate in all aspects of the Agile development process, responsible for high quality epics, stories and acceptance criteria. You must collaborate across multiple teams to engage and align with stakeholders, communicate technical details to non-technical audiences, and present to small and large groups, including executives.
Hearst's Product, Design, and Engineering team supports all technology initiatives within Hearst Magazines, and collaborates frequently with the many other divisions within Hearst Corporate. Hearst's world-renowned magazine portfolio includes Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping, Esquire, House Beautiful, Country Living, Harper's BAZAAR, ELLE, Car and Driver, Road & Track, Men's Health, Women's Health, Bicycling, Runner's World, and many more.
This position is ideally based in New York City but may also be remote working from any of the 16 states in which Hearst Magazines does business: NY, TX, FL, MI, CA, TN, VA, AL, CO, IL, MA, MD, NC, NJ, OH, SC, PA. The base salary for this role is between $xxx and $xxx. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
