Senior Product Manager, Connected Fleet

The Product Team at Motional creates the central vision for our autonomous vehicle fleet, working across the engineering, business development, and operations teams to design and deliver a product that is safe, reliable, and accessible for our passengers.

About this position:

As a Senior Product Manager, you will define and launch products that will shape the fast-moving Autonomous Vehicle (AV) industry. You will focus on understanding current and future user behaviors as well as partner needs in order to define requirements for Motional’s connected fleet of vehicles. Your leadership will be necessary to manage the development of new high profile products, prioritize new features for launch, and manage the product’s development throughout its lifecycle. To do this, you will work closely with users, designers, and engineering teams.

Key to your success is your ability to marry creativity with analytics skills to create customer value and finding a way to move things forward amid competing priorities.

What you’ll do:

• Define strategy and roadmap for in-vehicle API development
• Understand the needs of multiple different customers and users to balance competing priorities
• Navigate trade-off decisions during development to provide direction to engineering teams
• Work across the product team (Connected Fleet, Autonomy, and AV Experience) to ensure an aligned product vision is achieved
• Work with technical program and operations teams to ensure timelines meet our customer needs
• Exhibit high level of ownership over definition and delivery of product scope

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in sciences, or engineering
• 5+ years working in a product role
• Experience managing software based products, ideally involving third party API integrations
• Experience defining product requirements and roadmaps
• Excellent communication via verbal, presentation, and writing skills
• Proven ability to drive cohesion, collaboration, and decision making across different functions
• Comfort working with cross-functional, remote teams in multiple global locations
• Comfort with periodic travel

• Advanced degree (MS)
