Panorama has a big-picture vision to radically improve student outcomes by helping educators act on data and improve their practice.Â
As a Senior Product Manager, Content Development, you will prioritize the development and maintenance of our library of research-backed survey instruments. Our survey instruments measure topics ranging from parent & family feedback to students’ social-emotional learning skills and are a key component of Panorama’s value. These instruments allow our partners to hear the needs of everyone involved in school life and to guide their efforts to improve, based directly on the voices of their students, families, and teachers. You will work to deeply understand our partners’ evolving survey content needs, by hearing directly from users of our surveys. You will then partner closely with our research team to develop a roadmap of survey content improvements and expansions. You will work cross functionally, with engineers, designers, and other product managers, as well as our sales, marketing, and client experience teams to bring that roadmap to fruition. This work will include developing strategies for seamlessly rolling out survey content updates across our many partners.
You will become an expert in both K–12 education and survey design, identifying the most important problems to solve and delivering creative solutions to scale our support of all students and drive improved and more equitable outcomes. As a key internal spokesperson for our product, you’ll find yourself collaborating on a daily basis with co-workers from many backgrounds and experiences: former teachers, education researchers, district leaders, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the roadmap for a key product area, aligning it to Panorama’s company and overall product strategy, and identify opportunities to provide value to school and district users
- Based on a deep understanding of evolving client needs as well as overall market and education dynamics, shape our long-term survey content vision and strategy, helping Panorama identify and prioritize multi-year survey content research and development effortsÂ
- Work side by side with Research, Product Marketing, and Client Experience peers in a team to prioritize, plan, and deliver value to our users
- Ensure high-quality execution of the roadmap through cross-functional collaboration including creating excitement and alignment within your team as well as with other stakeholders
- Talk with teachers, principals, and district leaders on a regular basis to learn about the challenges they face as part of your ongoing effort to relentlessly focus on users.
- Work closely with Sales, Account Management, Marketing, and Client Success to gather insights about clients and the market and to collaborate on product messaging and valueÂ
Our Ideal Candidate Has:
- 5+ years of product management, strategy consulting, business analysis or product delivery experienceÂ
- Strong project management skills: the ability to backwards-map from an outcome to plan the steps to get there, and then successfully convey this plan to others
- Examples of developing assumptions and product decisions based on data and metrics
- Interest in solving big problems and helping educators improve student outcomes in innovative ways
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills, represented by aligning stakeholders around key objectivesÂ
- Examples of cross-functional collaboration, helping others achieve goals, and understanding the perspectives of others
- Experience working in Education (especially in educational assessments), EdTech, and B2B SaaS products
