Our multi-disciplinary team focuses on building solutions and enabling healthcare-as-a-service for partner organizations. Our work encompasses the entire range of processes, from ideation, developing, incubating, and launching products. Our portfolio of digital health solutions is an important addition to various aspects of clinical care across many disease states including: cardiovascular, cancer, pulmonary, orthopedics, physical medicine, and chronic illnesses like diabetes, obesity, depression, anxiety, hypertension, etc.
We utilize mobile, wearable, virtual reality, and advanced sensor technology to capture physiologic responses; we create mobile applications to support patient self-management and physician decision-making; we leverage data analytics to supplement clinical care and help patients with their health to facilitate behavioral changes in their daily lives.
Position Summary
As a Product Manager, you will play a critical role in influencing both internal and external stakeholders to deliver products that align with well-defined, health-focused, vision for Samsung.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with research and data science team to deliver demonstrable milestones towards bigger ambition and health-focused organization’s vision
- Extract real product ideas off of prototypes and research work
- Identify and work with industry partners and universities to advance Samsung’s health focused research efforts
- Drive product strategy (define product vision, strategy, roadmap, analytics, and success metrics; collaborate with internal business and strategy teams to strengthen product position)
- Drive product development working closely with technical program managers and development leads (market and user research, design, development, validation, and deployment)
- Own product requirement document (PRD), user guide, and product performance reporting; be the single point of contact for key stakeholders including executives, partners, business, strategy, engineering, design, QA, operations, and legal
Requirements
- 8+ years of product management experience with a minimum of  2+ years in the healthcare industry (consumer and/or enterprise focus)
- Experience in managing research in both hardware and software product development in the healthcare space
- Experience in designing and conducting studies of wearable devices or clinical trials with human subjects both in lab and field settings
- Good understanding of human physiology, non-Âinvasive sensors used to measure digital biomarkers for health and behavior monitoring
- Have a working knowledge of the healthcare industry and experience curating and analyzing healthcare and wellness data
- Experience in collaborating on software implementations of algorithms and computing models with client and cloud engineers
- Understanding of human factors, usability, and comfort with wearable sensors
- Experience operating under HIPAA is a plus
- Experience in developing software as a medical device
- Working knowledge with FDA
- Strong product management skills (market opportunity and user need identification, product vision & strategy formation, roadmap, product definition & development, business case development, competitive positioning, goal/KPI setting & monitoring)
- Human Computer Interaction and User Research background
- Product design experience (extensive experience working closely with designers and user researchers to derive consumer insights, create prototypes and mockups to test, refine, validate and defend new product opportunities)
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and frequently changing environment while prioritizing and managing multiple sets of responsibilities
- Strong product sense and sense of taste in design aesthetics and best practices (visual across visual and interaction design)
Our total rewards programs are designed to motivate and engage exceptional talent. The base pay range for roles at this level is $169,200 and $253,750,but may be higher or lower in other states due to geographic differentials in the labor market. Within the base pay range, individual rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education and training. This is part of our comprehensive compensation package with annual bonus eligibility and generous benefits to help you live life well.
